Announcements are every bit as important as the rules, and if you're new, you might want to glance over them so that you have a better understanding of what's going on at SIASR.

All applications that have been accepted by a staff member are moved to this board, under their appropriate sub-category. If your application is not moved here, you may not post in any of the in-character boards - however, OOC boards are free for everyone.

Sub-boards: DALTON STUDENTS, DALTON FACULTY

If you want a handy way to keep track of the relationships your character has with others, this is a good place to visit. You can also create the much simpler plot advertisements, which allow discussion with other members about the relationship with your characters. Remember, everyone reserves their own right to confirm and deny relationships. It's their character.

With colors of red and white, and a gryphon as their emblem, the Stuart house are known for their competitive academics. It's not uncommon for everyone to be up past three in the morning, still studying. They are also known as the enemies of Windsor house.

Sub-boards: ROOM 101, ROOM 102, ROOM 103, ROOM 104, ROOM 105

Though they do not sport the definite notoriety of Stuart or Windsor, the Hanover students might just prefer to keep it that way. Their emblem is a horse, and their shield is white with a golden border. They are possibly the closest house to the medical wing, and farthest from Windsor.

Sub-boards: ROOM 101, ROOM 102, ROOM 103, ROOM 104, ROOM 105

Whilst each of the houses have their own small supply of food and medical supplies for an emergency, the students will generally be sent to the medical wing if they are sick or injured. Obviously, if the injury is severe enough, they will be taken to the hospital instead, but the staff at the medical wing are more than capable of handling your every day bumps and bruises. They have a stock of medicines, as well, of course.

And what would every good school be without one? The library has quite the extensive stock of books, for all your studying habits and purposes. The library closes half an hour before curfew, but is sometimes left open longer before the major exams and testing. Take good care of the books, mind, else you'll be responsible for replacing any damaged ones.

This is, quite frankly, where the Dalton Academy Warblers practice. There is also a smaller room off from the main one where the council and members meet to discuss song selections and whatnot. Auditions for solos are also held in this smaller room. The choir room is also sometimes used by the music class, but more often than not, it belongs almost solely to the Warblers.

Whether you're studying up to your neck in calculus, or trying to ace a history exam, every class has its own designated room. They vary in grandeur - the extra curricular classes aren't quite as large as the mandatory classes, as there are less students to populate the rooms.

Where fencing is held, as well as where PE and other activity related classes can be found. The soccer team occasionally uses the room to practice, but only if it's too muddy or snowy outside to play on the grounds. The gym includes benches for all of the houses, as well as stands.

Under this board, you can create threads set in pretty much any eatery - from a comfy cafe like Starbucks to an upscale, five star diner. Whether you're deciding to go alone, taking a date, or spending a night out with friends, there's bound to be something for everyones taste around the area. Just don't dine and dash, that's illegal.

Now, these are generally off limits to the student body. Given that the drinking age limit is well over the age of even the seniors, you aren't going to be able to access the places without a fake ID. However, the adults are free to come to these places to unwind after hours, when they're off duty and out of the way of their students.

Whether they'd like to admit it or not, girls aren't the only ones that like to go on a nice shopping spree every now and then. After all, while the Dalton boys have a uniform, they can express their style outside of school hours.

If you're bored and it's a nice day outside, perhaps you'd consider a trip to one of the parks nearby. There are people out walking their dogs, mothers with children, old couples sitting on the benches, teenagers biking down the paths, you name it. Of course, parks aren't usually suited for the loud and rambunctious type.

Kick back, relax, and get to know your fellow members here. You can create a thread to introduce yourself, start a discussion, or just share something funny you've seen on YouTube. However, we ask that you please keep it appropriate and within the rules. Sexual content, spam, and all other banned content should not be mentioned or linked to under this board.

Not all of us are gifted with GIMP or Photoshop prowess. For those with graphic-making skills on the lesser side of awesome, feel free to request your avatars and signatures here. But if you're on the high end of skill, you may alternatively feel free to open a sort of 'shop' thread, where others can request graphics directly from you.

We're eventually going to have to hold Activity Checks on SR to trim our member base. Obviously there's no point in keeping around dead accounts. However, if you're going to be absent because of other reasons, such as vacation, illness, ect, you might want to post here. That will prevent us from accidentally deleting you in a check.
